Our cattle roam the fields in a relaxed stress-free environment, fed on grass only.
We produce quality, tender and succulent beef packed full of flavour from both our Longhorn and Highland herds.
Traceability is key, knowing every step of the journey from our farm to butcher with the ability to trace an individual cut of meat from field to fork.

Hillhead Farm Management is a Scotch Assured Beef Enterprise. All of our cattle have a good life regardless of whether they are for beef or breeding.
Our Longhorn and Highland Cattle are grass-fed using sustainable pasture management to provide nutritious feed, thus helping reduce livestock emissions.
Animals that are slaughtered are hung for approximately one month before butchering to ensure a richer taste.
The good intramuscular fat or ‘marbling’ of the English Longhorn beef is the key to unlocking the taste of beef.
When grass-fed this allows the marbling process without excessive external fat which in turn means you get healthy lean beef.
Pure Highland Beef is slow maturing, lean, firm and very low in fat, but also rich in protein and iron.
It is unsurpassed for flavour, tenderness and juiciness. This comes from having just the right amount of marbling through the meat to give that succulent flavour so typical of old-fashioned traditional beef.
